Plan View

A side by side comparison of each pallet rack back stop installed looking down through the longitudinal flue space can show you that the Flue Guard (left) provides an exacting 6” minimum flue space where as the beam stop. Some local fire authorities have stopped allowing pallet rack backstop beams due to partially blocking the rack flue space it’s supposed to be maintaining by 2-3 inches on a 12” row space separation. In this case, the city may require you to widen your row spacer to accommodate for the extra 2-3 inches making it now a 15″ row spacer.
