Rack Safety for Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Storage
Pharmaceutical storage carries obligations most warehouses do not: controlled substances have to be physically secured, environmental conditions have to hold, and anything that touches the storage system tends to attract documentation. Safety hardware here has to satisfy a compliance reviewer as well as a safety manager.
Some inventory has to be physically caged
Controlled substances require secure, access-limited storage rather than just a locked room at the end of the aisle. Welded wire partitions and security cages create an enclosure inside the existing building, with gate options that suit how the space is actually accessed.
Cleanability constrains the same products it does in food
Closed-top protectors and inverted-channel decking apply here for the same reason they apply in food and beverage: no upward-facing sections to collect debris, and surfaces that clean down properly. It is usually the same part number, specified for a different reason.
Damage becomes a documentation problem
In a regulated environment an unlogged rack strike is an unlogged deviation. Impact detection and a documented inspection and repair process turn rack damage into something with a record attached, which is the form auditors expect to see it in.
