Pallet Rack Decking
Wire mesh and solid steel decking that drops onto your rack beams with no hardware, replacing wood and particleboard with steel that is stronger and safer. Our wire decks are waterfall style: the mesh wraps 1-1/2″ down over the front and rear beams, with a flared or step channel underneath to suit your beam and inverted-channel versions for food-grade storage. Wire decks, punched steel and pallet support bars — also called cross bars — all let sprinkler water and light pass through the rack; solid decking does not, which makes it a deliberate choice with sprinkler consequences rather than a default.

Wire Decking · 5View all 5 →
Waterfall wire mesh decking with a flared channel, the flared end is welded to the wire for a clean, snag-free fit. Drops onto rack beams with no hardware, lets light and sprinkler water through, and far outperforms wood for strength and fire-code compliance.
- Mesh pattern: 2-1/2″ × 4″ × 6 ga.
- Mesh options: 1″ × 4″ and 2″ × 4″ also available
- Support channel: 14 or 16 ga.
- Fits: Most pallet rack beams
Waterfall wire mesh decking with a step channel sized to fit a 1-5/8″ step beam (other step heights available). No-hardware install, open mesh for light and sprinkler flow, and the strength and fire-code benefits of steel over wood.
- Mesh pattern: 2-1/2″ × 4″ × 6 ga.
- Mesh options: 1″ × 4″ and 2″ × 4″ also available
- Support channel: 14 or 16 ga.
- Fits step beam: 1-5/8″ (others avail.)
Waterfall wire decking with the flared channel inverted so it faces down, designed for food-grade storage by keeping debris from collecting in the channel. Flared end welded to wire; drops onto beams with no hardware.
- Mesh pattern: 2-1/2″ × 4″ × 6 ga.
- Mesh options: 1″ × 4″ and 2″ × 4″ also available
- Support channel: 14 or 16 ga.
- Food-grade: Inverted channel, designed for food-grade storage
Waterfall wire decking with the step channel inverted for food-grade storage, the inverted channel prevents collection of food or debris, making it ideal for food and beverage racking. No-hardware install on step beams.
- Mesh pattern: 2-1/2″ × 4″ × 6 ga.
- Mesh options: 1″ × 4″ and 2″ × 4″ also available
- Support channel: 14 or 16 ga.
- Food-grade: Inverted channel, designed for food-grade storage
Waterfall wire decking sized for bulk and boltless rack with hand-loading applications. The open welded-wire surface supports small cartons and loose items while keeping light and sprinkler flow open, with the strength and fire-code edge of steel over particleboard.
- Mesh pattern: 2-1/2″ × 4″ × 6 ga.
- Mesh options: 1″ × 4″ and 2″ × 4″ also available
- Support channel: 14 or 16 ga.
- Best for: Hand-loading / bulk rack
Solid Steel Decking · 3
A patented single-piece punched steel deck that is smoother, flatter and stronger than wire mesh. The flat surface won't snag or tear items, the flush design keeps the beam face clear for labeling, and the punched open area lets sprinkler water, air and light pass to lower levels.
- Open surface area: 50% open
- Load capacity: Up to 250 lbs./sq. ft. (UDL) — varies with profile, length and gauge
- Patents: U.S. 8,919,585 · U.S. 9,376,809
- Construction: Punched-style steel, single piece
A patented punched steel deck that drops onto step beams flush, with no waterfall edge to block labeling or bar codes on the beam face. Repeating corrugations give uniform strength across the shelf while the punched openings let sprinkler water, air and light pass to lower levels. The manufacturer holds an FM Approvals certificate for Punch Deck under Class 6914, which tests a deck as equivalent to 70% open area for sprinkler design.
- Open surface area: 50% open for common rack sizes; FM-tested as equal to 70%
- Construction: Punched corrugated steel panels, overlapped at joints · galvanized
- Load capacity: 250 lbs./sq. ft. (Model 301 at 36″) down to 50 lbs./sq. ft. at 72″
- Load basis: UDL · span/180 max deflection · 24 KSI max steel stress
A solid corrugated steel deck with a 1-1/2″ box-rib profile that sits flush with the beam top for a smooth, seamless surface product slides on and off cleanly. Stronger than wood and less costly than both wood and wire, it spans front-to-back in one piece for long or heavy hand-stack loads. Galvanized or painted, sized to fit any standard rack.
- Construction: Solid corrugated steel · 1-1/2″ box rib (B deck)
- Gauge: 18, 20 or 22 gauge
- Load capacity: Up to 666 lbs./sq. ft. (UDL), 18 ga at 36″ depth
- Load basis: UDL at 20,000 PSI steel stress; no deflection limit published
Pallet Supports · 3View all 3 →
A World XBar pallet support bar, also called a pallet rack cross bar, whose double-flanged design lays on top of the rack beam — which the manufacturer says helps reduce beam spread. Drops in place for easy installation and adds support under full-pallet loads where full wire-deck coverage isn't required. The manufacturer publishes no load rating for the World XBar range, so if the bar is carrying load in your calculation, get the figure on the quote.
- Style: Double flanged, lays on top of beam
- Material: 16 ga. steel, four-corner roll-formed
- Fits: All 1-5/8″ step beams
- Finish: Galvanized standard (optional powder coat)
A flush-fit World XBar pallet support bar (cross bar) for 1-5/8″ step beams, and the most cost-effective World XBar option. The flush design keeps the beam face clear for labels, with Tek screw installation recommended.
- Style: Hat / flush fit
- Material: 16 ga. steel, four-corner roll-formed
- Fits: 1-5/8″ step beams
- Finish: Galvanized standard (optional powder coat)
A heavy-duty World XBar pallet support bar (cross bar) designed for structural-style beams, built with a 1/4″-thick welded cuff design. Drops in place for easy installation and ships standard with a durable powder coat finish.
- Style: Structural, welded cuff
- Cuff thickness: 1/4″ thick
- Material: 16 ga. steel, four-corner roll-formed
- Fits: Structural-style beams
