Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rack Safety Products, LLC ("Rack Safety Products," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or request a quote, product, or service from us.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically when you use the site.
- Information you provide, When you submit a quote or contact request, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, and any project or site information you include in your message.
- Information collected automatically, Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit. This helps us keep the site secure and running reliably.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your quote requests, questions, and service inquiries;
- Prepare quotes and fulfill orders for products and services;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website;
- Communicate with you about your request or an active project; and
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & Browser Storage
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. This site loads no third-party analytics or advertising scripts, builds no advertising profile, and does not track you across other websites.
We do use a small amount of browser storage to make features work. This is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, and it stays on your device:
- A saved quote list, Adding products to your quote list stores them in your browser under "rsp:cart" so the list survives a page reload or a return visit. It stays on your device. We only receive it if you submit it as a quote request.
- A one-time form hand-off, When you send results from a tool such as the Flue Space Calculator to the contact form, those details are held briefly in your browser under "rsp:contact-handoff" so the form can pre-fill. It is deleted as soon as the form reads it, and it is cleared when you close the tab.
You can clear both at any time through your browser's settings for site data. Clearing them empties your saved quote list, and nothing else on the site is affected.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate our business. We do not sell it, and we do not disclose it for anyone else's marketing. The companies below process information on our behalf and are bound to protect it:
- Vercel, hosts this website and runs the code behind the quote form. Its logs include the technical data described above.
- Neon, provides the database that stores submitted quote requests.
- Resend, delivers the notification email that tells our team a quote request has arrived.
We may also share information with professional advisors, where required to comply with applicable law, a legal process, or a lawful request from a government authority, and with a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
ZIP Code Lookup
When you enter a ZIP code in a shipping or quote field, our server looks it up against Zippopotam.us, a free public postal-code dataset, to fill in the city and state for you. Only the five-digit ZIP code is sent, from our server rather than from your browser, so no information identifying you or your device is included. Results are cached, and if the lookup fails you can simply type the city and state yourself.
Data Retention & Security
We retain the information you provide for as long as necessary to respond to your request, fulfill an order, and meet our legal and business requirements, after which we take steps to delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Choices & Rights
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to ask us to delete it, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
California residents, Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of that information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell personal information, and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no opt-out of sale or sharing is required. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party websites or manufacturer resources that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.
Children's Privacy
